Hotel Restaurant Kreuz in Reichenau

The hotel is clean, but showing its age and needs to be modernized urgently. We paid 170 euros for one night and did not receive any comfort. No wellness or WiFi. The breakfast is extremely sparse and not worth mentioning. In addition, the ventilation shaft of the kitchen could be heard in our room all night. In this price range, I expect something different.

The food was superb, delicious, first class...well prepared I would certainly give 5 stars to the chef... but unfortunately the service was very bad. The waiter was abrupt, forgetful, dismissive and untruthful!!! Even though we tried to be polite towards her, she never made eye contact at all and kept staring at nothing as if she suffered from the disorder (ASD). The sad part is, she persisted her awful demeanour even after we complained to the Chief. We would never go there again.

Very friendly staff! Especially the activity and the service We liked the junior boss. The price-performance ratio of Expenses absolutely fit and the food is very tasty. I came to this house 30 years ago. Certainly not much has changed in the equipment, but it is contemporary and comfortable. Absolutely recommended!

If you want to eat fish at the Bodensee, this is the place to be! This is a very nice old Restaurant on the island of Reichenau, opposite to St. Georg church. They have a fine selection of fish here. I can recommend char fish (Saibling) home style, with a tasty creamy mushroom sauce. And you have to taste their local salads, all from the island. Very comfortable guestroom, very nice staff. Good selection of deserts as well.

Coming on the Reichenau the L221 comes, is welcomed to the right of the Church of St. George and the left of the light blue Hotel Restaurant Cross. The well-bourgeois restaurant has a large elongated terrace on the first floor, the awnings provide pleasant shade in the summer. The Kretzer fillets in Bierteig are juicy fresh and not greasy at all, in addition to the homemade remoulade, it is a poem with its lightness and fine acidity. The Bodensee whitefish fillets with fresh herbs are a bit too long cooked but still quite acceptable. The one or the other renovation would not hurt the house, but the service is very friendly and accommodating.

Quite out of Constance to offer authentic cuisine, but close enough to be reached by transport in about 40min.

The selection of fish dishes is very good! Salads delicious and the portions on the whole sufficient! Home cooking! Nevertheless, the prices could be a bit cheaper!

What would we get to eat on Saturdays only without family prince and friendly staff? We let the week end for years in the cross and always enjoy the wonderful food and loving care. The prices are absolutely appropriate for the high and absolutely fresh quality of the dishes!
